Generous gifts from parents, alumni, grandparents and friends towards our endowment invest in the future of St. Louis School and ensure that the School remains a leader in Catholic elementary education for many years to come. Continued endowment growth supports financial aid for students, salary increases and professional development opportunities for our faculty and staff, and innovative and robust programs for our students.

Current endowment funds include:

·         The Sister Mary Catherine Fund, created to honor the school’s Principal Sister Mary Catherine Duerr, SUSC, on the occasion of her retirement in 1996 after twenty years of service to St. Louis School.  Income from this fund is currently reinvested to grow the principle and was established to support general operating expenses.

·         The Thomas Merton Scholarship Fund, established in 2015 by an anonymous donor for the purpose of providing an annual partial scholarship to St. Louis School students in need of financial assistance.   The endowment fund was named after Thomas Merton, an American Catholic priest, writer, social activist and Trappist monk of the Abbey of Gethsemani.

·         The Saint Louis School Endowment Fund, created in 2015 with funds collected through Catholic Schools Week donations to the school and matched through the Mustard Seed Match program of the Catholic Community Foundation.  Income from this fund is currently reinvested to grow the principle.
