MIDDLE SCHOOL:
Catholic Daughters of the Americas ® National Youth Scholarship
This scholarship is open to any 8th grade Catholic student who has been officially accepted to enter the 9th grade at an accredited Catholic high school in the Fall. The Catholic Daughters will award two students a scholarship of $1,000.00. Applications are to be postmarked by April 1. Scholarship winners are chosen based on a written essay of approximately 250-300 words covering a theme announced yearly. Father Henry Hughes Scholarships
Scholarship program for students enrolled in the 7th and 8th grades at a Maryland Catholic school. Several $500 – $1000 scholarships are awarded each year. Applications are to be submitted to Pat Reynolds by April 1st each year.
HIGH SCHOOL:
Father Henry J. Hughes Scholarship
This scholarship is open to a relative of a Catholic Daughters of the Americas ® (CDA) member who is enrolled in a Maryland Catholic high school. Applications are due in early April and approximately ten $500 scholarships are awarded each year. COLLEGE:
Catholic Daughters of the Americas ® Father Leonard Bachmann Graduate Scholarship
This scholarship is open to any Catholic U.S. Citizen who has completed undergraduate studies and is enrolled in a graduate program at a College or University. The applicant must either be a current CDA member or a relative of a current CDA member. The Catholic Daughters will award three students a scholarship of $2,500.00. Applications are to be postmarked by April 1. Notification of the scholarship awards will be posted after August 1 on the national CDA website https://www.catholicdaughters.org/contest-and-sch .
