St. Louis Altar Guild

The Altar Guild is made up of men and women parishioners working behind the scenes to keep our church and chapels clean as well as support the beautiful liturgies we celebrate. It’s done on a rotational basis four to six times a year. Maybe you’ve thought about helping out in the parish, but can’t commit to weekly or monthly meetings. Please consider joining. This is one of the most ancient ministries in the Church!

CHURCH / STONE CHAPEL & CEMETERY CHAPEL CLEANING
Teams of four to five members rotate weekly to clean the main church. Rotations occur about four times per year. With everyone working together, the time commitment is usually about 1-1/2 to 2 hours per rotation. The Cemetery Chapel is cleaned monthly by individuals or teams of two. To volunteer or for more information contact the parish office at (410) 531-6040.

LAUNDERING LITURGICAL LINENS
Duties done at home include washing and ironing small linens used in daily and weekend Masses and sacraments: purificators, finger towels, Baptism towels, corporals and palls. For handling linens that were in contact with the Blessed Sacrament, special procedures must be followed: we provide instructions. Rotations are about six times per year. To volunteer or for more information contact the parish office at (410) 531-6040.

LAUNDERING ALTAR SERVER ROBES & ALBS
This ministry involves periodic laundering of servers’ robes and albs at home. Each volunteer launders a few robes (wash & wear) about four times per year. If your child is an Altar Server, this is an ideal way to support him or her and the parish. To volunteer or for more information contact the parish office at (410) 531-6040.

FLOWER GUILD
This ministry is to honor and praise God through the art of flower/flowering plant arrangements throughout the liturgical year. To volunteer or for more information contact Mrs. Cindy Clemens at (443) 538-5930.
